Glee at the O2

As I had written about earlier in the year, I was very lucky to get Glee tickets thanks to my husband and yesterday the day finally came to see the cast live!! Yeah!

To get with the spirit, we went for Glee t shirts and the foam hands....yes we got sucked into buying the merchandise!  Well everyone else was!

And look at all these people who like us were eager waiting to see the 'New Directions'!

So enough from me, more info on the show later on

So today, Saturday 25th June was Global Smurfs Day.  It is a once in a lifetime Global event set up to smash into the World Records for the largest ever gathering of people dressed as Smurfs.

To help break the world record, the O2 were inviting people down dressed as a Smurf.  If you didn't have a Smurf outfit, not to worry, as they provided everything, the top, the trousers, the shoes, face paint and the hat!

There were hundreds of people, from babies to adults and everyone was having fun, what an event!

Garden Treasures

Last year I started to plant a number of things in the garden and we managed to harvest a number of courgettes and then a number of small, tiny parsnips!

This year I decided just to focus on strawberries, and look how they are turning out...

Not edible yet, so have resorted to M&S instead!  Both at half price! yum yum!

Hyper Japan 2011

If you have a free day between Friday 22nd July to Sunday 24th July, you should consider going down to Olympia Two at Kensington for Hyper Japan.

As the name shows, this is all about Japan including cuisine and culture.  Along with this there are many other special events as well such as the UK Cosplay Award 2011 and Sushi Awards 2011.

Cosplay is big in Japan, no one gives funny looks when someone goes past in Japan cosplaying.  Hyper Japan is the same, this is the opportunity to dress up and allow people to admire you.  If you go dressed up, chances are people will be queueing up to take your picture.

Japan is about cute and cool as well, so you are bound to see a lot of this around, whether its toys or posters or other things.

With so much on show and with it being bigger than last year, it is definitely worth a visit.

So check out Hyper Japan at http://www.hyperjapan.co.uk/ and start booking those tickets!

The Fun of Instaxs

My Diana F+ got it's back changed recently.  It went from taking 35mm films to Instax minis.  Instax Minis are polaroids but are a mini version of 62mm x 46mm as opposed to the originals at 60mm x 99mm.

With the back changed, who best than to try it on a bunch of colleagues!  Look at how much fun we had, who would have ever imagined?
